103Making a Song a Phone Ringtone1. From the Home screen, tap(Applications) ➔ (Music).2. Tap the Songs tab.3. Touch and hold a song from the list toreveal the on-screen context menu.4. Tap Set as phone ringtone.Music Player OptionsThe Music Player Settings menu allows youto set preferences for the music player suchas whether you want the music to play in thebackground, sound effects, and how themusic menu displays. With the music player applicationdisplayed and a song active, pressand select one of the following options:• Library: view your current audio library.• Party shuffle on/off: activates/deactivatesthis song shuffle function.• Add to playlist: adds the selected musicfile to a quick playlist.• Settings: allows you to activate ordeactivate the 5.1 channel mode andselect an available music equalizerconfiguration such as: Normal, Rock,Jazz, Classic, Dance, Pop, Live, Concerthall, Wide, Music clarity, Bassenhancement, or Externalization.• Set as ringtone: sets the current song asyour phone ringtone.• Delete: permanently deletes the currentsong from the SD card.Using PlaylistsPlaylists are used to assign music files intogroups for playback. These Playlists can becreated using the Music player on thisdevice, or using a third-party application(such as Windows Media Player) anddownloading those files to an SD cardinserted into the device.Creating a Playlist1. From the Home screen, tap(Applications) ➔ (Music).2. Tap a song and begin playback.3. Press ➔ Add to playlist ➔ New.4. Backspace over the default playlist titleand type a new name for this playlist,then tap Save.Adding Music to a Playlist1. From the Home screen, tap(Applications) ➔ (Music).2.
