Getting Started28Locking or Unlocking the KeypadYou can lock the keypad and volume keys to avoidpressing keys by accident.To lock the keypad, press and hold the key inIdle Mode until the “Keypad locked” messageappears on the display.You can also answer incoming calls using any keys,even if you lock the keypad and volume keys. Whenyou end the call, your phone returns to the KeyLock Mode after the period of time specified in theAuto keylock menu option (Menu 4.3).You can dial emergency calls even if you lock thekeypad and volume keys. Enter an emergencynumber. When the confirmation message appears,press the Yes soft key or the key. When you endthe call, your phone returns to the Key Lock Modeafter the period of time specified in the Autokeylock menu option (Menu 4.3).To exit the Key Lock Mode, press the Unlock softkey and then press the key again. The “Keypadunlocked” message appears.You can also set the phone to automatically lock thekeypad and volume keys in the Auto keylockmenu option (Menu 4.3).
