This may save you the time and expense of anunnecessary service call.When you switch your phone on, the followingmessages may appearInsert SIM Card● Check that the SIM card is correctly installed.Phone Locked Enter Password● The automatic locking function has been enabled. Youmust enter the phone’s password before you can use thephone.Enter PIN● You are using your phone for the first time. You must enterthe Personal Identification Number supplied with the SIMcard.● The PIN Check feature is enabled. Every time the phone isswitched on, the PIN has to be entered. To disable thisfeature, use the PIN Check menu (Menu 7.5.1).Enter PUK● The PIN code was entered incorrectly three times insuccession and the phone is now blocked.
