The method isoperated only on the ECR keyboard (Ordinary Type or Flat Type).DIRECT CHARACTER ENTRY MethodThis method is to set a character by directly depressing the Character Keys on any of the following keyboard:• ECR keyboard with the keyboard layout for programming• PK-2 keyboard (PLU keyboard; hardware option)By using those character keys, the characters are directly entered. In this manual, sample operations areattached to most of the programming operations.
