Thedouble beep continues until service is restored.Site trunking operationDuring normal trunking operation, your radio may roambetween a number of sites, each with its own zonecontroller. This behavior is transparent to you, unlessthere is a problem with a zone controller. When thishappens, the radio enters ‘site trunking’ mode, and youwill only be able to communicate with users within asingle site.While in site trunking mode, the display shows SiteTrunking, and the radio sounds a repeating doublebeep. The double beep continues until normal serviceis restored.When access to the zone controller is available again,your radio automatically returns to normal multi-siteoperation.Failsoft operationYour radio may be programmed to enter ‘failsoft’ modewhen service is lost due to failure of a trunking sitecontroller.
