Operating in P25 trunking mode 63Scanning a group of talkgroupsThe scan feature is used to monitor a group of trunkedtalkgroups for activity. Each group of talkgroups isprogrammed as a single scan group.When there is a call from a member of the talkgroupscan group, the radio unmutes and you can hear thecall. Calls from talkgroups programmed as ‘priority’talkgroups, take precedence over those from a non-priority talkgroup.While the radio is scanning for activity, the amber LEDglows and appears in the display. When the radiostops on a talkgroup where there is activity, the amberLED and symbol flash.Activating talkgroup scanningTalkgroup scan is turned on using a programmedfunction key. When the function key activates talkgroupscan, the currently selected talkgroup automaticallybecomes a member of the talkgroup scan group.To turn talkgroup scan on:■ Press the function key.Suspending a channel from a talkgroupscan groupIf a member channel of a talkgroup scan group is busyfor a long time and you do not want to hear theconversation, you may be able to use the function keyprogrammed for nuisance delete to temporarily deletethe talkgroup from the scan group. When the talkgroupscan group is next selected, or after the radio has beenturned off and then on, the deleted talkgroup is againpart of the talkgroup scan group.Group 1Zone 11 Menu
