You can onlypress POWER to switch off the DVDrecorder, or press TV (MODE) again to returnprevious viewing mode.After you press TV (MODE) to view videos/programs from the SCART source, statusindicator will light up in the display window.Depending on the cable manufacturers, theSCART cable you use to connect an externaldevice to the DVD recorder may not be able todetect all signals transferred via thisconnection. If you have activated the ‘TVMODE/SCART Bypass’ function via the Setupmenu, and still have problem using the feature,try to use a new SCART cable.Interlaced Scan Mode:If you accidentally set ‘Progressive’ as the videooutput mode when the DVD recorder is notconnected to a progressive-scan-compatible TV,you may lose the video signal on your TV instantly.To recover the problem, switch off the DVDrecorder, and then switch it on again. After theDVD recorder is switched on (in about 30seconds), press (right direction button), 5, 0, 2,0, on remote control, then press ENTER. Therecorder will then be automatically switched off.The DVD recorder’s TV output will be restored todefault when you switch on the recorder next time.Setting HDMI ResolutionWith an integrated video upscaler, this DVD recordercan automatically enhance resolution of the outputpicture up to 1080p (1080 scan lines, Progressivemode).
