7 – Track editing–MOVE -> PASTETASCAM 788 Digital PortaStudio 67MOVE -> PASTEThis function takes the section of a track or tracksmarked by the IN and OUT points, and moves it tothe chosen track or tracks, starting at the TO point.After the operation, the selected section of the sourcebetween the IN and OUT points is replaced bysilence.This operation overwrites anything which is alreadyrecorded at the destination. The destination is there-fore the same length as it was before the operation.You can change the following values:Src. Trk This sets the source track or tracksfrom which the section is taken. Choose 1,through8 to select an individual track. Choose 1/2, 3/4, 5/6 or 7/8 to select a pair of tracks. Choose1-8 to select all active tracks.Dst. Trk This sets the destination track ortracks to which the selected section is moved. Whatyou can select here depends on what you haveselected for the source track. If you have selected asingle track, you can select tracks 1 through 8 here.If you have selected a pair of tracks (for instance,1/2), you can only select track pairs here. Nothing is overwritten onthe destination, as any material following the TOpoint is moved to the end of the newly-insertedsection. The destination is therefore longer than itwas before the operation.You can change the following values:Src. Trk This sets the source track or tracksfrom which the section is taken.
