In order to avoiddamaging a card or the card slot, please take thefollowing precautions when handling them.Do not leave in extremely hot or cold places.•Do not leave them in extremely humid places.•Do not let them get wet.•Do not put things on top of them or twist them.•Do not hit them.•Precautions for placement and useThe operating temperature should be between 0°C•and 40°C (32°F and 104°F).Do not install in the following types of places.•Doing so could degrade the sound quality and/orcause malfunctions.Places with significant vibrations or that are•otherwise unstableNear windows or other places exposed to direct•sunlightNear heaters or other extremely hot places•Extremely cold places•Places with bad ventilation or high humidity•Very dusty locations•Avoid installing this unit on top of any heat-gener-•ating electrical device such as a power amplifier.Hum might occur if a powered amplifier or other•device with a large transformer is used near thisunit. If this should happen, try increasing thedistance between this unit and that device andchanging their orientations.Uneven colors might appear on televisions and•noise might be heard from radios that are used nearthis unit. If this should happen, use the unit furtherfrom the affected device.Noise might be heard from this unit if a mobile•telephone or other wireless device is used nearbyduring calls and when data is transmitted andreceived. If this should happen, use that devicefarther from the unit or turn its power off.Beware of condensationIf the unit is moved from a cold to a warm place,or used after a sudden temperature change, thereis a danger of condensation; vapor in the air couldcondense on the internal mechanism, making correctoperation impossible. To prevent this, or if this occurs,let the unit sit for one or two hours at the new roomtemperature before using.Cleaning the unitUse a dry soft cloth to wipe the unit clean.
