Toavoid dropouts and clicks in the audio signal, we stronglyrecommend that you do not connect any USB devices otherthan keyboards and mice to the USB bus used by this unit.Audio connectionsConnect the output signal of your mic, guitar, keyboard, or otheraudio device to the US-322/366, where it will be convertedinto digital audio and sent via USB to your computer. Connectthe output of the US-322/366 to your speakers (via an amp) orheadphones, so you will be able to monitor the audio signalscoming into the US-322/366 or being produced by yourcomputer.CAUTIONBefore connecting an audio device, set the INPUT 1/2,PHONES and LINE OUT knobs to their minimum values.Failure to do so could cause loud noises, which mightdamage equipment or harm the hearing of people nearby.MicrophonesConnect microphones to the INPUT 1/L and INPUT 2/R MICconnectors (XLR) on the front panel.When using a condenser microphone that requires phantompower, set the 48V switch on the front panel to ON.When the 48V switch is set to ON, the 48V indicator on the toppanel lights.48V indicatorCAUTION• Connecting a dynamic microphone with an unbalancedconnection to the unit when the 48V switch is ON coulddamage this unit and make it unusable.• Do not connect or disconnect a mic with an input when thisswitch is ON. Loud noises might be produced and damagecould be caused to equipment.• Before turning a 48V switch ON or OFF, turn the outputvolume down using the PHONES and LINE OUT knobs onthe front panel. Depending on the mic, loud noises might beproduced and damage could be caused to equipment or topeople’s hearing.• Always set the 48V switch to OFF before turning the unit’spower on or off (connecting or disconnecting the ACadaptor).• Do not use phantom power when line level equipment isconnected to an XLR connector. It might damage equipment.GuitarsConnect a guitar or bass guitar to the INPUT 1/L LINE/GUITARjack on the front of the unit and set the MIC/LINE-GUITARswitch on the top to GUITAR.
