Eighth Edition • First Printing Operator's ManualInspectionsPart No. 1319005GT Z ® -30/20N • Z ® -30/20N RJ 31Test Limited Drive Speed32 Press down the foot switch.33 Raise the primary boom approximately 1 ft /30 cm.34 Slowly move the drive control handle to the fulldrive position.Result: The maximum achievable drive speedwith the primary boom raised should notexceed 40 ft / 12.2 m per 60 seconds.35 Lower the primary boom to the stowedposition.36 Raise the secondary boom approximately 1 ft /30 cm.37 Slowly move the drive control handle to the fulldrive position.Result: The maximum achievable drive speedwith the primary boom raised should notexceed 40 ft / 12.2 m per 60 seconds.38 Lower the secondary boom to the stowedposition.39 Extend the primary boom approximately 1 ft /30 cm.40 Slowly move the drive control handle to the fulldrive position.Result: The maximum achievable drive speedwith the primary boom raised should notexceed 40 ft / 12.2 m per 60 seconds.41 Retract the boom to the stowed position.If the drive speed with the primary or secondaryboom raised or the primary boom extendedexceeds 40 ft / 12.2 m per 60 seconds,immediately tag and remove the machine fromservice.Test Drive Tilt Cutout42 Press down the foot switch.43 With the boom fully stowed, drive the machineonto a slope where the chassis pitch angle isgreater than 2.5°.Result: The machine should continue to drive.44 Return to level ground and raise the primaryboom to an out of stowed position(approximately 10° above horizontal).45 Drive the machine onto a slope where thechassis pitch angle is greater than 2.5°.Result: The machine should stop once themachine reaches 2.5° of chassis tilt and thealarm should sound at the platform controls.46 Lower the primary boom to the stowedposition.Result: The machine should drive.47 Return to level ground and extend the primaryboom approximately 1.6 ft / 0.5 m.48 Drive the machine onto a slope where thechassis pitch angle is greater than 2.5°.Result: The machine should stop once themachine reaches 2.5° of chassis tilt and thealarm should sound at the platform controls.49 Retract the primary boom to the stowedposition.Result: The machine should drive.50 Return to level ground and stow the boom.
