There are two ways to access theairFiber Configuration Interface:• Management Port Enabled by default. Use a directconnection to the Management port for out-of-bandmanagement.• In-Band Management Enabled by default. In-bandmanagement is available through the local Data port orthe Data port at the other end of the link.The Management port and in-band management sharethe default IP address of 192.168.1.20.Test Changes To try the changes without saving them,click Test Changes. A new message appears. You have twooptions:• Apply To immediately save your changes, click Apply.• Discard To cancel your changes, click Discard. If youdo not click Apply within 180 seconds (the countdownis displayed), the AF-11FX radio resumes its earlierconfiguration.Revert Changes To cancel your changes, clickRevert Changes.Save Changes To save your changes, click Save Changes.Management Network SettingsIn-Band Management Enabled by default. In-bandmanagement is available through the local Data port orthe Data port at the other end of the link.Note: If In-Band Management is enabled, ensurethat each airFiber X radio in a link has a uniqueIP Address. If the airFiber X radios use the same IPAddress, you may lose access via the Data ports.Management IP Address The airFiber X radio can usea static IP address or obtain an IP address from its DHCPserver.• DHCP Keep the default, DHCP, to use DHCP reservationon your router to assign a unique IP Address. The localDHCP server assigns a reserved IP address, gateway IPaddress, and DNS address to the airFiber X radio.Note: If you select the DHCP option, ensure thatyou use DHCP reservation because if you do notknow the IP address, then the only way to managethe airFiber X radio is to reset the airFiber X radioto its factory default settings. (Press and holdthe Reset button for more than five seconds.)Its default Management IP Address is reset to192.168.1.20.- DHCP Fallback IP Specify the IP address theairFiber X radio should use if a DHCP server is notfound.- DHCP Fallback Netmask Specify the netmask theairFiber X radio should use if a DHCP server is notfound.• Static Assign static IP settings to the airFiber X radio.
