6Chapter 4: Main TabAirRouter HP User GuideUbiquiti Networks, Inc.Chapter 4: Main TabThe Main tab displays a summary of the link statusinformation, current values of the basic configurationsettings (depending on the operating mode), networksettings and information, and traffic statistics.StatusDevice Name Displays the customizable name (ID) of theAirRouter HP. The Device Name (Host Name) is displayedin registration screens and discovery tools.Network Mode Displays the network mode that theAirRouter HP is operating in. There are three modesavailable: Bridge, Router, and SOHO Router. SOHO Routeris the default setting. This setting is configured on theNetwork tab.Wireless Mode Displays the radio interface operatingmode. Access Point (or Access Point WDS) and Station (orStation WDS) operating modes can be set depending onthe network topology requirements.SSID Displays the wireless network name (SSID). Thewireless network name is dependent upon the wirelessmode selected:• While operating in Station mode, displays the SSID ofthe Access Point the AirRouter HP is associated with.• While operating in Access Point mode, this displaysthe SSID configured on the AirRouter HP. The SSID isconfigured on the Wireless tab.Security Displays the wireless security method beingused on the AirRouter HP. If None is displayed, thenwireless security has been disabled.Version Displays the version of the AirOS software.Uptime This is the total time the AirRouter HP has beenrunning since last power up (reboot) or software upgrade.The time is displayed in days, hours, minutes and seconds.Date Displays the current system date and time. Thedate and time are displayed in YEAR-MONTH-DAYHOURS:MINUTES:SECONDS format. The system date andtime is retrieved from the Internet using NTP (NetworkTime Protocol). NTP Client is enabled by default on theServices tab. The AirRouter HP doesn’t have an internalclock and the date and time may be inaccurate if NTPClient is disabled or the AirRouter HP isn’t connected tothe Internet.
