VIDEOSTUDIO HELPTable of Contents | Index Back 32 Creating a new projectWhen you run VideoStudio, it automatically opens a new projectand lets you start composing your video production. If this is yourfirst time to use VideoStudio, the new project uses VideoStudio’sinitial default settings. Otherwise, the new project reuses the projectsettings which you have last used. To check what these settings are, click File: Project Properties.Project settings determine how your video project is rendered whenyou preview it. Rendering is the process by which VideoStudioconverts raw video, titles, sounds, and effects into a continuousstream of data which can be played back in your computer. You canmodify the project settings in the Project Properties dialog box. When you capture or insert your first video clip into the project,VideoStudio automatically checks the properties of the clip and yourproject. If properties such as file format, frame size, etc. are notidentical, VideoStudio automatically adjusts the project settings tomatch the clip’s properties. Changing the project settings allowsVideoStudio to perform the SmartRender function. See page 57 formore information on SmartRender.
