The L-Ion batteres maylose ther charge f not used for several months due to back up and nternal resstance.If ths happens, we suggest rechargng pror to use.Remove Main BatteryTo remove the man battery, press down on the release button whle pushng out thecover on the unt. We suggest that the battery not be removed, f possble.ChargingWhen startng to operate the HT580, the man battery must be fully charged before thefirst use. The HT580 is equipped with a 3.7V 730mAh Lithium-Ion battery. Forchargng, use the 5 volt AC adaptor and the RS232 communcaton cable. It takes 8hours to fully charge the man battery when empty. We suggest users recharge thebattery regularly after long hours of use.Powering the HT580 On/OffTo power the HT580 on make sure that the battery has been charged accordngly (seepage 11). Hold down the power button for a second. The screen on the HT580 wllflash and the unit will go through a power-up process to load the screen, Autorun, andbattery status.To power the HT580 off hold down the power button for 3-seconds. The unt has asecurty feature that requres t be held down for 3-seconds so that unt s notaccdentally shut off whle t s n use.Ths con shown n the menu ndcates the current battery capacty status.
