37Calling from a PCTo call the modem from a PC, the HT580’s modem cradle should be set to automatcallypck up an external call. Place the HT580 nto the cradle wth the cradle connected andpowered on. Execute Setting Modem and then select AUTO ANSWER to let theHT580 send “ATS0=1” to the modem board. Then, the cradle can automatcally pck upan external call after one rng tone. (After executng “Auto Answer”, t s notrecommended to power off the cradle, or the “Auto Answer” functon wll dsable)From the PC, you can use MultEj to do a modem communcaton wth the HT580. Youcan set up the modem functons from the optons by checkng “Modem”.Followng these steps, set up the correct Intal command and dal the number.Chapter 3 Communication |
