Start-upInstallation and maintenance instructions ecoTEC exclusive 0020017768_07 2966.2 Checking the gas settingb Caution!Malfunctions or reduction in working life ofthe boiler! If the boiler version does not correspond tothe local gas family, there will be malfunctionsor you have to change components of theboiler ahead of schedule.> Before starting up the boiler compare thedetails of the type of gas specified on theidentification plate with the type of gassupplied at the installation site (e. g. do notuse an LPG boiler on natural gas).If the boiler version corresponds to the local gas family:> Proceed as described below. If the boiler version does not correspond to the local gasfamily:> Perform the gas conversion in accordance with thegas conversion kit 0020010641.> Adjust the gas setting as described below(see Section 6.2.1 to 6.2.3).The combustion of this boiler has been checked, adjusted and preset at the factory for operation on thetype of gas defined on the identification plate. No meas-urement of the combustion is necessary to set up theboiler.> Do not adjust the multifunctional automatic gas valve.> Ensure– that the boiler has been installed in accordancewith these instructions,– the integrity of the flue system and the flue seals,as described in the flue installation instructionsenclosed with this boiler, and as described below,– a visual check is carried out on the boiler combus-tion circuit and the relevant seals,– that any defects have been corrected at this stage. To further validate the integrity of the flue system andconfirm correct operation of the boiler it is possible toconduct flue gas and air measurements on this boiler -for details see Section 6.2.1.Proceed to put the boiler into operation as follows:> Check the maximum gas flow rate as detailed inSection 6.2.2.> Check the gas inlet working pressure as detailed inSection 6.2.3.> Note that you must re-measure the gas flow rate orthe gas inlet working pressure, if changes wererequired to correct any issues found.6.2.1 Checking for tightness of the flue gasinstallation and flue gas recirculation> Check the integrity off the flue gas installationaccording to TB 200.> Should the flue gas installation be longer than 2 m westrongly recommend to check the system for flue gasrecirculation as described below.12Fig. 6.5 Flue gas and air measure pointsLegend:1 Flue gas measure point2 Air measure point> For checking the system for recirculation use the airmeasure point (2).> Use the flue gas analyser.> If you detect any CO or CO2 in the fresh air, search forthe flue gas leakage or recirculation.> Correct the defects.> Check again as described before, if there is any CO orCO2 in the fresh air.> If you cannot correct the defects you must not startup the boiler.
