If na-tional regulations and directives require shorter inspection and maintenance intervals, you should observe these instead ofthe intervals listed. Each time inspection and maintenance work is carried out, carry out the required preparatory and com-pletion work.# Maintenance work Interval1 Record all of the analysis results in the Benchmark Checklist in theseinstructionsAnnually2 Ask the end user whether any significant problems occur when operatingthe productAnnually3 Use the diagnostics system to check the product's fault history Annually4 Visually inspect whether the air/flue pipe and its opening have been in-stalled correctly in accordance with the set-up instructionsAnnually5 Check that the unit has been installed correctly and the connections havebeen securedAnnually6 Check all of the connections for tightness Annually7 Check that the condensate pipe is in good condition, that it is leak-tightand that the drain is correctAnnually8 Check whether all of the externally routed condensate pipes are dimen-sioned correctly and have been insulated sufficiently (frost protection)Annually9 Check the general condition of the product and, if required, eliminate anyfaults that are foundAnnually10 Visually check the heat cell to ascertain its condition and detect any cor-rosion, rust or damage, and carry out maintenance work, if requiredAnnually11 Check whether the gas flow rate corresponds with the specifications onthe data plate and lies within the tolerances specified in these instructionsAnnually12 If the gas flow rate lies outside of the tolerances specified in these in-structions, eliminate the fault in accordance with the regulations and thecurrent technologyAnnually13 Carry out the combustion analysis: Measure the CO content, CO₂ contentand the CO/CO₂ ratio. For products with a rear air/flue connection: Thecombustion analysis can only be carried out when the unit casing hasbeen removed; it is not necessary to test these products for flue gas recir-culationAnnually14 Check the product's recirculation at the supply air test point on the air/fluepipe. If required, inspect the entire air/flue system and, if necessary, cor-rect the faultAnnually15 Disconnect the product from the electrical installation Annually16 Check and, if required, correct the electrical installation Annually17 Close the installation's gas stopcock and, if required, service valves Annually18 Checking the admission pressure of the expansion vessel at regular intervals 3919 Checking the insulating mats in the combustion area and replacing dam-aged insulating matsat regular intervals20 Cleaning the heat exchanger at regular intervals 3721 Checking the burner at regular intervals 3722 Cleaning the condensate siphon Annually 3823 Cleaning the strainer in the cold water inlet at regular intervals 3824 Check the impeller sensor for dirt/damage at regular intervals25 If the water volume is insufficient (domestic hot water) or the outlet tem-perature is insufficient, check the secondary heat exchangerat regular intervals26 Opening the service valves Annually27 Check the quality of the heating water: Clarity (clouding), correct inhibitorand pH valueAnnually28 Filling and purging the heating installation at regular intervals 2929 Starting a test operation after maintenance work Annually30 Visually check the ignition and burner behaviour Annually31 Measure the CO content, CO₂ content and the CO/CO₂ ratio again Annually
