Hydraulics installation28 Installation instructions geoTHERM 0020051574_0455.3 Installing the direct heating mode andDHW tank5.3.1 Description of functions for the directheating mode and DHW tank (domestichot water cylinder). The underfloor heating circuits are connected directlyto the heat pump. By default, this is controlled by an energybalance controller (¬ Ch. 9.4.2).The heat pump also operates a DHW tank.5.3.2 Installation instructions> Install the hydraulic components in accordance with thelocal requirements and as shown in the sample hydraulicscheme below.> If you do not use the optional accessory heat pump brinefilling unit for heat pumps (56) (¬ Fig. 5.4) install theindividual hydraulic components accordingly (¬ Fig. 5.9).> Connect a limit thermostat to ensure the underfloorheating function on the heat pump.> Connect the VF2 flow temperature sensor to ensure theintegral energy function.> When starting up the unit, set Hydraulic Scheme No 3 inthe controller.> Ensure that there is a minimum amount of circulatingwater (approx. 30 % of the standard rated volume flow).i If you have installed a hydraulic switch betweenthe heat pump and the heating installation, VF2the temperature sensor in the supply of thehydraulic switch must be attached to the heatinginstallation. You can choose to use the VPS/2 multi storage tank as aDHW tank.> When connecting the hydraulics, observe the¬ installation instructions for the cylinder and the¬ geoTHERM planning information. The 1” diverter valve supplied in the VPS/2 multi storagetank must be replaced by two 3-way diverter valves thatmust be installed on-site . The diverter valves must be con-nected to the LP/UV1 terminal on the controller PCB (2)(¬ Fig. 7.18).i As of VWS/VWW 380/2, the VPS/2 1500 multistorage tank must be used.Caution: Schematic only! These examples of hydraulic schemes do not contain all ofthe shut-off and safety instruments that are required forcorrect installation.> Observe the applicable standards and regulations.
