The ‘main valve knob’ is the knobon the right hand side (See figure 3).Turn this knob to the ‘OFF’, fullyclockwise position .3. The ‘manual knob’ is the knob onthe left hand side (See figure 3).Turn this knob to the ‘OFF’, fullyclockwise position.4. Place the ‘ON/OFF’ switch to the‘O’ (Off position).5. Wait five (5) minutes to clear out any gas. Thensmell for gas, including near the floor. If you smellgas STOP! and follow the safety information below.! DON’T SMOKE.! EXTINGUISH ALL NAKED FLAMES.! DON’T TURN ELECTRICAL SWITCHES ON OROFF.! TURN OFF THE GAS SUPPLY AT THE METER.! OPEN DOORS AND WINDOWS TO GET RID OFTHE GAS.! With the ‘manual’ knob in ‘MAN’ position a manual pilot valve operator isaccessible (See figure 4).!
