The ‘main valve knob’ is the knobon the right hand side (See figure 3).Turn this knob to the ‘OFF’, fullyclockwise position .3. The ‘manual knob’ is the knob onthe left hand side (See figure 3).Turn this knob to the ‘OFF’, fullyclockwise position.4. Place the ‘ON/OFF’ switch to the‘O’ (Off position).5. Wait five (5) minutes to clear out any gas. Thensmell for gas, including near the floor. If you smellgas STOP! and follow the safety information below.! DON’T SMOKE.! EXTINGUISH ALL NAKED FLAMES.! DON’T TURN ELECTRICAL SWITCHES ON OROFF.! TURN OFF THE GAS SUPPLY AT THE METER.! OPEN DOORS AND WINDOWS TO GET RID OFTHE GAS.! IMMEDIATELY CALL THE GAS EMERGENCYSERVICE FROM A NEIGHBOURS PHONE -SEE YOUR LOCAL TELEPHONE DIRECTORY.If you do not smell gas, proceed as below.6. Place the ‘ON/OFF switch to the ‘-’ (On position).7. With the ‘manual’ knob in ‘MAN’ position a manual pilot valve operator isaccessible (See figure 4).! Fully push down the manual pilot valve operator using the end of a pencil orsimilar and hold in to start pilot gas flow.
