To replace the battery, remove therear compartment cover from the remotecontrol handset. To do this push the covertowards the bottom of the handset (See figure6). Remove the existing battery.Fit a 9 Volt ‘PP3’ size battery in to the handsetand replace the cover.Receiver box.The gas valve and receiver box are batterypowered. To replace the batteries for both itwill be necessary to remove the fascia. Thebottom of the fascia is held in place withmagnets. Hold the lower outside edges of thefascia and gently pull forward. With the bottomreleased, lift the fascia upward and clear ofthe upper hanging brackets on the convectionbox.Gently pull the receiver box forward and clearof its support. Slide the battery compartmentcover clear (See figure 7). Remove theexisting batteries. Fit four 1.5 Volt ‘AA’ sizebatteries. It is important that the +ve and -vesymbols on the battery match those of theillustration inside the battery holder.
