Remove any particles from the slots with a vacuum cleaner fitted with a soft brushattachment. Do not poke wire, etc. into the slots in the burner.MAINTENANCEBattery replacement.Please note: In order to ensure maximum battery life and optimal performance,we recommend that only 'Long Life' alkaline type replacement batteries areused.Handset.The remote control handset is battery powered. Toreplace the battery, remove the rear compartmentcover from the remote control handset. To do thispush the cover towards the bottom of the handset(See figure 11). Remove the existing battery.Fit a 9 Volt ‘PP3’ size battery in to the handset andreplace the cover.Receiver box.The gas valve and receiver box are batterypowered. To replace the batteries for both it will benecessary to remove the fascia. The bottom of thefascia is held in place with magnets. Hold thelower outside edges of the fascia and gently pull forward. With the bottom released,lift the fascia upward and clear of the upperhanging brackets on the convection box.Gently pull the receiver box forward and clearof its support. Slide the battery compartmentcover clear (See figure 12). Remove theexisting batteries. Fit four 1.5 Volt ‘AA’ sizebatteries. It is important that the +ve and -vesymbols on the battery match those of theillustration inside the battery holder.
