8. GAS SUPPLY CONNECTIONA nut and olive are provided for an 8mm pipe inlet connection to the inlet ‘T’connector at the bottom front of the appliance. The inlet ‘T’ connector can be rotatedto allow a connection from any direction. The inlet ‘T’ connector includes a valve forisolating the gas supply and a pressure test point.The supply pipe must be rigid material. Flexible pipe must not be used.Concealed supply pipe connection.If a concealed connection from inside the fireplace is required then, before theappliance is fitted into the fireplace it will be necessary to extend the supply line sothat it will project through the hole in the back of the convection box and run to theinlet ‘T’ connector at the front. The pipe run from the supply line up to the rearopening in the convection box must be kept away from the area which will be takenby the convection box when it is installed. Note that the centre of the appliance inlet‘T’ connector is 25mm above the fireplace floor. The inlet ‘T’ connector should befitted to the supply pipe at this stage.9. PREPARING APPLIANCE FOR INSTALLATION9.1 Appliance preparation.1. Remove any transit tape andpacking and inspect for any evidenceof mishandling which might affect theperformance of the fire.2. Detach and remove the windowassembly. To do this unscrew andremove the two thumbscrews at thebase of the window assembly. Gentlylift the window assembly upward andforward (See figure 13).
