275Technical dataWeights, payload and roof loadThe payload is the difference between thepermitted Gross Vehicle Weight (seeidentification plate on page 266) and theEC kerbweight.To calculate the kerbweight, enter the datafor your vehicle below:is the EC kerbweight.Optional equipment and accessoriesincrease the kerbweight, which means thatthe payload will also change slightly.Note the weights given in the vehicledocuments.The combined total of front and rear axleloads must not exceed the permissibleGross Vehicle Weight. For example, if thefront axle is bearing its maximumpermissible load, the rear axle can onlybear a load that is equal to the GrossVehicle Weight minus the front axle load.With the trailer attached and the towingvehicle fully loaded, including all thepassengers, the permitted rear axle load(specified on identification plate andvehicle documents) for Hatchbacks may beexceeded by 45 kg and the permitted totalload may be exceeded by 50 kg.For Corsavans, the permitted rear axleload may be exceeded by 25 kg. Thepermitted total load may be exceeded bythe following amounts with the engines1)specified below:Trailer towing is not permitted forCorsavans with tyre size 215/45 R 17.If the permitted rear axle load is exceeded,a maximum speed of 60 mph (100 km/h)applies. If lower national maximum speedsare specified for trailer towing, they mustbe complied with.See the identification plate or vehicledocuments for permissible axle loads.Roof loadThe permissible roof load is 75 kg.
