150Roof racks,caravan and trailertowing Roof racks 3For reasons of safety and to avoiddamaging the roof, we recommend thatyou use the Vauxhall roof rack systemapproved for your vehicle. Consult aVauxhall Authorised Repairer.Disengage covers concealing roof rackmounts by pushing sliders in direction ofarrow (e.g. with coin) and remove. To closeroof rack mounts, insert covers at front andengage sliders at rear.Driving hints – see page 128.Towing equipment 3If the vehicle is not equipped with towingequipment, we recommend having itretrofitted by a Vauxhall AuthorisedRepairer, who will provide informationabout possible trailer load increases. AVauxhall Authorised Repairer hasinstructions on how to install the towingequipment and any modifications that arerequired to the vehicle that affect thecooling system or other equipment.For installation dimensions of the trailertowing equipment – see pages 241, 242.Disregard of these notes can lead toinjuries which may be fatal. Vehiclepassengers should be informedaccordingly.
