Chassis systems102Parking distance sensors 3The parking distance sensors make reverseparking easier by measuring the distancebetween the rear of the vehicle and anobstacle through ultrasonic reflection andwarning you with an acoustic signal in thepassenger compartment. The system records the distance usingsensors in the rear bumper. The parking distance sensors areautomatically enabled when the ignition isswitched on and reverse gear is selected.Readiness for operation is indicated bybrief acoustic alarm. As the vehicle slowly gets close to an objectwhile reversing, an intermittent acousticsignal is audible in the passengercompartment. The interval between the signals becomesshorter as the distance is reduced. If thedistance is less than 25 cm, a continuoussignal is audible. The system registers the distance by meansof sensors on the rear bumper. To ensurethat the sensors function correctly and thatthe information provided is accurate, theymust be undamaged and free of dirt, snowand ice.Should the parking distance sensors fail tooperate, consult a workshop. If towing equipment is required for yourvehicle, we recommend contacting yourVauxhall Authorised Repairer.9 WarningUnder certain circumstances, variousreflective surfaces on objects or clothingas well as external noise sources maycause the system to fail to detectobstacles. For this reason, care must betaken when reversing even if the parkingdistance sensors are operational. This isof particular importance when in thevicinity of pedestrians.Ofrecido por www.electromanuales.com
