With the D IAGNOSTICS dialog box open, observe the TABLET INFO column as you test each ExpressKey.Be sure to select the tablet unit you are testing from the TABLET INFO column.2. Test the keys by pressing them one at a time. Each time you press a key, its number is shown next tothe L EFT BUTTONS category.3. When you are done, click the C LOSE button to exit the dialog box.Important: Some applications can override and control the ExpressKey functions. Consider closingany open applications except the Wacom Tablet control panel when testing the ExpressKeys.For details, see Using applications integrated for tablet control.TESTING A PEN1. With the D IAGNOSTICS dialog box open, and while observing the POINTING D EVICE INFO column, bringyour pen within 10 mm (0.4 inch) of the tablet active area. A value for PROXIMITY, the DEVICE N AME,D EVICE TYPE , and a D EVICE S/N (serial number) should be displayed.2. Move your tool along the tablet surface. The X and Y D ATA values should change to reflect the toolposition.3. Test your pen switches. The Status LED should brighten each time you click with the tip, press the sideswitch, or press the eraser to the tablet.• Click on the tablet surface with the tip. The SWITCHES state and P RESSURE value should change.P RESSURE should change from approximately 0% with no pressure applied to approximately 100%when full pressure is applied.• Next, press the side switch without pressing the tip to the tablet. The SWITCHES state shouldchange. For the Intuos pen, do this for both positions of the side switch.• Press the eraser to the tablet. The SWITCHES state and P RESSURE value should change.P RESSURE should change from approximately 0% with no pressure applied to approximately 100%when full pressure is applied.4. Slowly rotate the pen on its axis. The ROTATION value should change as you rotate the pen.5.
