Filter 1 / 2Sample-and-hold 12dB Low-pass FilterThe S&H-filter has a sample-and-hold (S&H) circuit with adjustable rate in front of the 12dB low-pass filter. The S&H circuit effectively lowers the sampling rate so that theharmonics are reflected to another frequency producing a harsh sound. The rate of the S&H circuit is the extra parameter and appears on theFilter 1 / 2 page asS&H Rate. When the S&H rate is set to maximum (127), the circuit passes the sounduntouched.Filter 1 / 2w If you like nice clean sounds, the S&H filters are definitely not for you.24dB Notch FilterThis filter damps a single frequency while all other frequency are passed throughunaffected. Resonance is inaudible on this filter type as long as its setting is not so high thatthe filter begins to self-oscillate.12dB Notch FilterSame as 24dB notch filter, but lower slopes of 12dB/octave.Bandstop FilterThis filter type uses a 12dB high pass and a 12dB low pass in parallel. By means of theextra parameter Bandwidth the frequency of the high pass can be increased relative to thelow pass. If Bandwidth has a value of0, this filter is identical to the 12dB notch filter. Theresonance setting applies to both filters in the same way.Filter 2The second filter is capable of performing a low pass or high pass. The slope is always 6dBper octave, there is no resonance parameter and therefore no self-oscillation. You can useFilter 2 in several ways. Since its slope is more flat than those of Filter 1, the effect filteringhas on the sound is very subtle.Filter 2Cutoff0…127Determines the cutoff frequency. Note that you can also modulate the filter’s cutofffrequency in the modulation matrix.Type 6dB LP / 6dB HPSelects the filter type.• Use the low pass setting6dB LP to get a warm sound without cutting of too muchof the higher frequencies.Cutoff Filter 2 | Type |Keytrack102 | 6dB LP | +000%Cutoff Env.
