Relocating the appliance to a permanent network settingInstallation Guide 69N OTEIf your administrative workstation uses a Linux OS, the fonts may notdisplay properly, or aFont Not Found error message may appear. Certainversions of JRE on Linux have problems displaying fonts, which will notappear as they do in either Sun Solaris or Microsoft Windows.6 Click Shut down.7 When the shutdown confirmation dialog box appears, click OK. Theappliance will perform a full software shutdown, which you canmonitor by watching the Ready LED. The light will blink for a shortinterval and then go dark when shutdown is complete.CAUTIONDO NOT POWER DOWN THE APPLIANCE until thePower andReadyLEDs have been dim for 30 seconds, as the overall shutdown process isstill in progress after this light is dim.8 You can now press the power switch on the back of the appliance tocut power to the appliance. Or, if this appliance is a V10, simplydisconnect the power cord to complete the shutdown.9 Now, you can disconnect (1) the power cord, then (2) all the cables,and relocate the appliance to its permanent network setting.After relocationOnce the appliance is placed in its permanent location and networkconnections made, you can turn it on at that time.1 Make all the relevant network connections through the datainterfaces.2 Use the power cord to connect the appliance to a UPS device or to aprotected outlet.
