Depending on the scanner you are using, some of these options are also availablewithout Visioneer Acuity. Using hardware image processing means the scanner can scan at its rated speeds whileproducing the best quality results.To enable or disable software Visioneer Acuity, go to the Driver Configuration section and then click on the checkboxto deselect/select Acuity. When Acuity is disabled, only the options that can be performed in hardware will beavailable in the scanner interface.Disabling Hardware Image ProcessingYou can disable hardware image processing from the scanner properties pages in the Windows Control Panel.Deselecting the option in the Control Panel disables hardware image processing only for that feature. When theoption is selected in the TWAIN interface, the function will use software Visioneer Acuity. Please refer to HW IPSettings on page 196.
