Scanning from TWAIN DocuMate 70062 User’s GuideAdjusting Gamma, Saturation, and Color HueIf you’re using the Color Configuration to scan, you can adjust a group of color settings.Gamma controls the brightness of the color midtones.To adjust the color settings:1. Drag the Gamma, Saturation, and Color Hue sliders to the left to decrease the settings orto the right to increase the settings.You can also type a number directly into the setting boxes, or click the up and down arrowsnext to the boxes.Gamma—is the tone curve and the starting point for image enhancement. As you raise orlower the Gamma value, the values at which Color Saturation, Color Hue, Brightness andContrast affect the image are changed. It is recommended that you keep the defaultGamma value or adjust this setting before adjusting the other options.Saturation—the strength or purity of a color. Adjusting the saturation will affect how“gray” the tones of the color are without changing the overall brightness of the image.Color Hue—the color your eyes see as reflected from the image. It is color in the pureststate without black or white. Adjusting the color hue changes the colors without affectingthe darkness or lightness of the colors.2. Click Reset to return the settings to their original numbers.These options do not apply to Black & White scanning and are disabled when the Black & Whitescanning option is selected.The Saturation and Color Hue options do not apply to Grayscale scanning and are disabledwhen the Grayscale scanning option is selected.
