3.3 Setting the Paper Sizes and Types 33Using the Extension Output TrayThe extension output tray is designed to prevent paper from falling from the printer after theprint job is complete.Before printing a document, pull out the extension output tray.If the extension output tray is still not long enough for the paper you are loading, pull theextension output tray further.3.3 Setting the Paper Sizes and TypesYou can set the paper size and type that is loaded in the bypass tray on the control panelwhen the [Bypass Mode] on the [Tray Settings] menu is set to [Panel Specified] on thecontrol panel.In this case, the printing is done only when the paper size and type settings on the controlpanel are the same as on the print driver.Also, using the [Display Popup], you can specify whether or not to display the screen to setthe paper size and type every time you load paper into each tray on the control panel. Thedefault settings do not display the message for the bypass tray and do display the messagefor the paper trays (optional).Note• The [Display Popup] setting for the bypass tray is available only when [Bypass Mode] is set to [PanelSpecified].
