ADDITIONAL CONFIGURATION OPTIONSFollow the steps below to change incoming fax settings fromyour Macintosh:1. Pull down the Fax Printer Configuration menu and selectIncoming Fax Settings.The Fax Configuration window displays.2. Enter the number of times the phone should ring, from 1 to10 rings, before the fax printer answers the call in the RingsBefore Answering field.3. Enter the ID you wish to send to other fax machines in theFax Machine ID field. The Fax Machine ID can be yourcompany name, department name or fax number, to amaximum of 20 characters.4. Enter the PostScript password for your fax printer in the FaxPostScript Password field. You give this password to peoplewho want to send you faxes in the PostScript format.5. Select the Automatic Printing of Activity Report checkbox, ifyou want the fax software to periodically generate a FaxActivity Log. You can also request (at any time) an activityreport of all transmitted and received faxes, as described inthe “Print Activity Report” section later in this chapter.6. Click the [OFF] radio button to deactivate the speaker onyour Macintosh when dialing a number.7. Do one of the following:• Click on the [OK] button to save the additions andchanges made to the incoming fax settings.• Select Quit from the Fax Printer Configuration menu toexit the fax utility without saving changes.Fax Printer CalendarThis option is used to set or change the current date and time.You can also access the Fax Setup menu through the controlpanel at your printer to change the current date and time settings(clock setup). Refer to the “Fax Setup menu” chapter for theseprocedures.N Note: Be sure your printer is turned on and initializedbefore you begin this procedure.Follow the steps below to set the current date and time on yourMacintosh:1. Pull down the Fax Printer Configuration menu and select FaxPrinter Calendar.The Fax Printer Calendar Editor window displays.2. Click on the [Current Time] button to view the current dateand time settings on your Macintosh.3.
