1 EnglishYASKAWA TOMPC71061753A YASKAWA AC Drive GA500 Installation and Operation Instruction 21*2 For circuit protection, the main circuit is separated from the surface case that can touchthe main circuit.*3 The control circuit is a Safety Extra-Low Voltage circuit. Separate this circuit from othercircuits with reinforced insulation. Make sure that the Safety Extra-Low Voltage circuit isconnected as specified.*4 Reinforced insulation separates the output terminals from other circuits. Users can alsoconnect circuits that are not Safety Extra-Low Voltage circuits if the drive output is 250Vac 1 A maximum or 30 Vdc 1 A maximum.*5 Set L8-05 = 1 [Output Phase Loss Protect Select = Enabled] or set the wiring sequence toprevent input phase loss.■ Wire SelectionSelect the correct wires for main circuit wiring.Refer to Main Circuit Wire Gauges and Tightening Torques (for CE Standards) on page 283 forwire gauges and tightening torques as specified by European standards.Refer to Main Circuit Wire Gauges and Tightening Torques (for UL Standards) on page 296 forwire gauges and tightening torques as specified by UL standards.Table 1.2 Icons to Identify Screw ShapesIcon Screw Shape+/-Slotted (-)Hex socket cap (WAF: 5 mm)■ Control Circuit Wire Gauges and Tightening TorquesTable 1.3 Control Circuit Wire Gauges and Tightening TorquesTerminalBlock TerminalBare Wire Crimp FerruleRecommendedGaugemm2 (AWG)ApplicableGaugemm2 (AWG)RecommendedGaugemm2 (AWG)ApplicableGaugemm2 (AWG)TB1-1 PS, S1 - S7, SN, SC, SP0.75(18)• Stranded wire0.25 - 1.0(24 - 17)• Solid wire0.25 - 1.5(24 - 16)0.5(20)0.25 - 0.5(24 - 20)TB1-2 AM, AC, A1, A2, +V, H1, H2,HCTB1-3 MP, RP, AC, D+, D-, P1, C1, P2,C2TB2 MA, MB, MC 0.75(18)• Stranded wire0.25 - 1.5(24 -16)• Solid wire0.25 - 1.5(24 - 16)0.5(20)0.25 - 1.0(24 - 17)Crimp FerrulesAttach an insulated sleeve when you use crimp ferrules.
