9 Maintenance and Inspection9.3 Grease Replenishment/Exchange9-25170625-1CDHW1482737ES200RD II9.3.7 Notes for Maintenance9.3.7.1 Battery Pack ConnectionThe connectors (crimped contact-pin) for the battery backup are installedat the end point of the motors (BAT and OBT are marked). Connect thebattery packs according to the following procedure.1. Removed the cap attached to the battery backup connector of themotors.2. Connect the battery packs (HW9470932-A) with the battery backupconnectors (BAT and OBT are marked) located at the end point of thecables for the encoder. (Under this condition, remove the encoderconnector and carry out the maintenance checks.)3. Confirm all connectors connected after the maintenance check, andremove the battery packs. Install the caps attached to the batterybackup connectors of the motors.NOTEWhen performing maintenance such as replacement of awire harness in the manipulator, the encoder connector maybe necessary to be removed. In this case, be sure toconnect the battery pack to the battery backup connectorbefore removing the encoder connector.Removing the encoder connector without connecting thebattery pack leads to disappearance of the encoderabsolute data.For the battery pack connection, refer to Fig. 9-9 “BatteryPack Connection” on page 9-26.NOTE Do not remove the battery pack in the connector base.80 of 100
