Page 39FT-450D OPERATION MANUALMICROPHONE G AIN L EVEL ADJUSTMENTAt the factory, a microphone gain has been programmed that should be satisfactory for the supplied MH-31A8JHand Microphone. If you use an after-market microphone, you may wish to set a different Microphone GainLevel.1. Press and hold the [F] button for one second toenter the Menu mode again. The “ ” iconwill appear on the display.2. Rotate the [DSP/SEL] knob to select the menuitem “MICGAIN”.3. Press the [DSP/SEL] knob to enable adjustmentof this menu item. The “ ” icon will be blink-ing.4. Rotate the [DSP/SEL] knob to select the desiredmicrophone gain (LOW, NOR, or HIGH, factorydefault: NOR).LOW: When the microphone input is high thespeech processor is turned off automati-cally.NOR For normal voice the speech processor isturned on automatically.HIGH: When the microphone input is low thespeech processor is turned on automati-cally.Press the [RCL/HOME] button to reset the mi-crophone gain to the factory default.5. Press the [DSP/SEL] knob. The “ ” icon re-turns to appear continuously.6.
