Page 60 FT-450D OPERATION MANUALMEMORY OPERATIONREGULAR MEMORY O PERATIONThe Regular Memory of the FT-450D allows storage and recall of up to 500 memories, each storing frequency,mode, and a wide variety of status information detailed previously. Memories may be organized into as many asten Memory Groups, and additionally you get two pairs of band-limit (PMS) memories along with one QMB(Quick Memory Bank) memory and two Home channels.Memory Storage1. In the VFO mode, select the desired frequency,mode, and status the way you want to have itstored.2. Press the [F] button followed by the [V/M/MW]button.The blinking current memory channel number willbe shown on the display, and the contents of thecurrent memory channel will be shown on the dis-play.If there is no action by you within 90 second fromreleasing the [V/M/MW] button the Memory Stor-age procedure is canceled.The memory storage procedure is canceled un-less you operate it within 90 seconds.3. Rotate the [DSP/SEL] knob to select the memorychannel in which you wish to store the data. If youhave selected a channel on which data is alreadystored, that frequency will appear on the display.4. Press the [V/M/MW] button momentarily to storethe frequency and other data into the selectedmemory channel. A beep will confirm that you haveheld the [V/M/MW] button.You may over write new data into a channel on whichdata is already stored.Memory Channel Recall1. Press the [V/M/MW] button, if necessary, to enterthe Memory mode. A memory channel number willappear in the display.2. Rotate the [DSP/SEL] knob to select the desiredmemory channel.Advice:To work within a particular Memory Group, press the[DSP/SEL] button. Then rotate the [DSP/SEL] knobto select the desired Memory Group. Now press the[DSP/SEL] button again.
