When you start scanning, the FT−8800R will scan in the upwarddirection. If you want to change the direction of the scan while it isunderway, rotate the DIAL knob one click in the opposite direction (in thiscase, one click counterclockwise). The scanning direction will reverse andscan downward.2. Pressing and holding in the microphone’s or key will causescanning to sweep frequencies only on the current band.
