BRKT Bracket unit7-45 63P3F11Bleeding the power trim and tilt unit(built-in)1. Fully turn the manual valve counterclock-wise.2. Fully tilt the outboard motor up, and thenrelease it to let it lower by its own weightfour to five times.3. Tighten the manual valve by turning itclockwise.4. Let the fluid settle for 5 minutes.5. Push and hold the power trim and tiltswitch in the up position to check that theoutboard motor is fully tilted up.6. Support the outboard motor with the tiltstop lever 1.WARNINGAfter tilting up the outboard motor, besure to support it with the tilt stop lever.Otherwise, the outboard motor could sud-denly lower if the power trim and tilt unitshould lose fluid pressure.7. Remove the reservoir cap 2, and thencheck the fluid level in the reservoir.NOTE:If the fluid is at the correct level, the fluidshould overflow out of the filler hole when thereservoir cap is removed.8. If necessary, add sufficient fluid of therecommended type to the correct level.9.
