These propellers areidentified with the letter “L” after the sizeindication on the propeller. Otherwise theboat could move in the opposite directionfrom that expected.NOTICEECM00501Make sure to use a new cotter pin andbend the ends over securely. Otherwise,the propeller could come off during oper-ation and be lost.1. Apply Yamalube Marine Grease to thepropeller shaft.2. Install the thrust washer and propeller onthe propeller shaft. NOTICE: Make sureto install the thrust washer before in-stalling the propeller. Otherwise, thelower case and propeller boss couldbe damaged. [ECM01881]3. Install the spacer, washer, and propellernut. Tighten the propeller nut to thespecified torque.TIP:Make sure to align the protrusions on thespacer with the cutout areas of the propeller.4. Align the propeller nut slot with the pro-peller shaft hole.
