Replace the air filter elementmore frequently if you are riding in un-usually wet or dusty areas.1. Remove the rider seat. (See page3-19.)2. Remove panels A and B. (Seepage 6-7.)3. Remove the cowling bolts, andthen pull the cowling off.4. Remove the fuel tank bolts.5. Lift the front of the fuel tank, andcarefully tilt it back and away fromthe air filter case, but do not dis-connect the fuel hoses.WARNING! Make sure that thefuel tank is well supported. Donot tilt or pull the fuel tank toomuch, otherwise the fuel hosesmay come loose, which couldcause fuel leakage and a firehazard. [EWA10411]6. Remove the air filter case cover byremoving the screws.
