THROTTLE BODY6-13special care.• Never subject the throttle position sensorto strong shocks. If the throttle positionsensor is dropped, replace it.1. Check:• Throttle position sensorRefer to “CHECKING THE THROTTLE PO-SITION SENSOR” on page 7-70.2. Adjust:• Throttle position sensor angle▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼a. Temporarily tighten the throttle position sen-sor screws.b. Make sure that the throttle grip is fully closed.c. Connect the wire harness to the throttle posi-tion sensor coupler.d. Turn the main switch to “OFF”.e. Connect the FI diagnostic tool to the self-di-agnosis signal coupler.Refer to “DIAGNOSTIC MODE” on page7-25.f. While pressing the “MODE” button, turn themain switch to “ON”.TIP“DIAG” appears on the LCD of the FI diagnostictool.g. Select diagnostic code No. “D:01”.h. Adjust the position of the throttle position sen-sor angle so that 14–20 can appear in theLCD.i. After adjusting the throttle position sensor an-gle, tighten the throttle position sensorscrews “1”.j.
