For the engine• Leaks around the engineCheck for pressure leaks from the cylinderhead or the cylinder, oil leaks from the crank-case or the case cover, leaks from the cool-ant system, and other leaks.• Check that the valve, the cylinder head, thecylinder, the piston, and the piston ring fit oneanother, and that contact between the valveand the cylinder head, and that between thecylinder and the piston are correct.• Engine oil changeDrain the oil, and check for dirt and foreignmaterials such as metal chips. (If any foreignmaterial is mixed, disassemble and check thecrankcase.)Pour the specified amount of the recom-mended oil.• GeneratorCheck for looseness in mounted areas of thegenerator rotor and the stator coil assembly.Check that the connector is not being discon-nected.• SilencerCheck the main body and stay for cracks.Check for leaks.• Mounting bolts and nutsCheck for looseness in mounted areas ofparts, as well as engine mounting bolts andengine brackets.2. For the chassis• Check welds and mounted areas of theframe, the swingarm, the link, the bracket,and so on, for looseness and cracks.• Wheel(s)Check the wheel for runout. Check the spokefor looseness.• Brake(s)Check the brake disc mounting bolt for loose-ness.Check that the reservoir contains the speci-fied amount of brake fluid. Check for leaks.• CableGrease and adjust cables.• Drive chainLubricate the drive chain and adjust its ten-sion.• Fuel tankClean the inside of the fuel tank. Check forleaks.• SuspensionCheck for oil leaks in the front fork or the rearshock absorber.
