Cleaning the flue passages and heat ex‐changerAs long as combustion regulation is adequate, it israre that the heat exchanger needs to be cleaned. Ifthe heat exchanger becomes sooty, it may be cleanedin the following manner:1 Remove the burner group according toInstruc‐tions for burner and injector inspection , see onpage 38 .2 Remove the screws from the upper part of thecasing and from the top turbine of the combustiongas draft blower.3 Remove the screws that hold the upper part of theflue box without tearing the insulation beside it.Afterwards, remove the central plate dividing theupper and lower flue boxes.4 Take out the flue baffles from inside the flue box -C- from inside the heat exchanger pipes -B-. No‐tice that the last curve in the baffle fits tightly in thepipe -A-, requiring the end of the baffle to be wellsecured to the tube collar -D-. To take it out, movethe end of the baffle towards the centre of the tube, freeing it from the tube collar and then pulling outin a straight line.5 Using a metal brush with a flexible rod, brush theinterior of each of the tubes, brushing to the out‐side and getting to the very end in the flue box aswell as at the beginning at the burners.6 Also brush all of the inside of the flue box and thebaffles.7 Run the brush over the the exhaust hoods, fromthe side of the flue box downward.8 If there is a large accumulation of soot, take thedraft blower out and clean the turbine and casing.9 Once the brushing is finished, carefully clean theresidue using compressed air. If necessary us avacuum cleaner.10 Put the parts back in the reverse order from whichthey were removed.11 When remounting the central and upper parts ofthe flue box, be careful not to tear the insulationbeside it.12 Make sure that all of the joints on the side with thecombustion system ventilation are air tight. Applyhigh temperature (260 °C) sealing putty to do it.1.19 Unit sound pressure dataOctave band sound spectrum dB(A), outdoorModels 045 060 075 090125 Hz250 Hz500 Hz1,000 Hz1 Installation manual1.19 Unit sound pressure data40
