Toremove the pan push it back as far aspossible and lift it off. Replace it in reverseorder.Place the grill pan on the shelf so that thepan is positioned centrally beneath the grill.Hints and tips• Most foods should be placed on the gridin the grill pan to allow maximumcirculation of air to lift the food out of thefats and juices.• Adjust the grid to allow for differentthicknesses of food.• Food should be thoroughly dried beforegrilling to minimise splashing. Brushlean meats and fish lightly with a little oilor melted butter to keep them moistduring cooking.• Accompaniments such as tomatoes andmushrooms may be placed underneaththe grid when grilling meats.• When toasting bread, use the grid in thehigh position.• Preheat the grill on a full setting for a fewminutes before sealing steaks ortoasting. Adjust the heat setting asnecessary during cooking.• The food should be turned over duringcooking as required.
