40Other GuidelinesUsing the STOP buttonThe STOP button is for instantaneous deactivation of a moving motorized focusingdrive to prevent collision with a specimen on the latter.1. Press the STOP button to switch off the focusing drive. The STOP button is on theleft-hand side of the drive2. The STOP button engages and the focusing movement is immediatelyinterrupted3. To unlock the STOP button, pull it out again. The STOP button must be unlockedto restart the focusing driveOperating Manually1. Place a specimen in the centre of the round insert plate2. Pay attention to the following operation modes:a. To use only the incident light and respective filter sets, operate solely withthe Fluar illuminator Z mot and make sure the diaphragm slide is closedb. Alternatively, to use only the transmitted light, press the number 4 in theFluar illuminator Z mot and operate with the diaphragm slide and setting wheelc. Finally, to switch between lights, operate with both Fluar illuminator Zmot, setting wheel (See Other Guidelines -> Contrast Methods and Filter Sets) anddiaphragm slide
