Preparation for use OPMI Lumera iVersion 8.0Page 70 G-30-1720-enConnection via beam splitter and C-mount adapterPerform the following steps to operate the video camera via the C-mountvideo objective lens:• Unscrew the securing screw (7) by a few turns.• Remove the binocular tube (1).• Position the beam splitter (6) on the surgical microscope.• Firmly tighten securing screw (8).• Fasten the binocular tube (1) in the same way on the beam splitter (6) usingthe securing screw (7).• Loosen the knurled ring (4).• Remove the dust cover from the mount of the beam splitter and store itin a safe place.• Slide the C-mount video lens (2) into the mount. Make sure that thelocating block is fed into the counterpart of knurled ring (4).• Screw knurled ring (4) onto C-mount video objective lens (2).• Firmly tighten knurled ring (4).• Screw the camera head onto C-mount video objective lens (2).Make sure that the camera image is correctly oriented!NOTE Damage to the camera caused by wrong video lens!• The maximum screw depth of the C-mount threading of your video lensis 3.5 mm.A longer thread can damage the camera and definitely results in focuserrors of the video lens.If in doubt, please ask your local dealer or ZEISS Service which video lensis suitable for your system.• Before every use and after re-equipping the system, make sure thatbinocular tube, C-mount video lens, and beam splitter are securely lockedin position.• Make sure that all securing screws are firmly tightened!
