Recalibrate.9 The electrodes may need cleaning. Clean as described inthe relevant section of this manual.9 The electrodes may have been allowed to dry out. Re-hydrate as described in the relevant section of thismanual.9 The electrodes may be damaged. Replace the electrodes.9 The electrode may be loose allowing water to enter theelectrode socket. Remove the electrode, blow out thesocket with compressed air then leave the probe andelectrode in a warm place for at least 48 hours to dry out.EC readings areinaccurate orunstable.OUT OF CAL RANGEerror shows duringcalibration of EC.9 Have you got the Probe Sleeve fitted? EC will not workwithout the Probe Sleeve fitted.9 The Probe may not be inserted deep enough into thesample being measured. Ensure the sample level reachesthe minimum depth line on the outside of the Probe®.9 Trapped air bubbles may be causing problems. Tap andswish the Probe to dislodge them.9 The Probe Sleeve may be loose. The Probe Sleeve mustbe absolutely rigid with respect to the Probe Body forcorrect EC operation. If you can move the Probe Sleeveto and fro whilst holding the Probe Body, tighten thenrecalibrate.9 The EC electrode may need recalibrating. Recalibrate.9 The EC electrode may be dirty. Clean the EC electrodethen recalibrate.Turbidity readings areinaccurate orunstable.9 Have you got the Probe Sleeve and end cap fitted?Turbidity will not work without the Probe Sleeve and endcap fitted.9 Trapped air bubbles may be causing interference. Tapand swish the Probe to dislodge them.9 The sample being measured may contain air bubbles.Under these conditions, optical turbidity measurementscan not be taken.9 The Probe may not be inserted deep enough into thesample being measured. Ensure the sample level reachesthe minimum depth line on the outside of the Probe.9 The Probe Sleeve may be loose. The Probe Sleeve mustbe absolutely rigid with respect to the Probe Body forcorrect turbidity operation. If you can move the ProbeSleeve to and fro whilst holding the Probe Body, tightenthen recalibrate.9 The Turbidity electrodes may need recalibrating.Recalibrate.9 The lenses on the turbidity electrodes may be dirty. Cleanthe lenses then recalibrate.20.
