Making room on your Treo™ 650 smartphone :: 185Making room on your Treo™ 650smartphoneIf you store a large number of records, or install many third-party applications, theinternal memory on your Treo™ 650 smartphone may fill up. Here are some commonways to clear space:• Email: Messages that have large attachments can quickly consume memory onyour smartphone. Delete emails with large attachments. If you have hundreds ofmessages with or without attachments, you may wish to delete older messages tomake room.• Camera: Large size images take up a lot of memory. Move images to an expansioncard or delete images from your smartphone (see “Viewing photos and videos onyour computer” on page 92).• Internet: If you set a large web browser cache, you may want to use the webbrowser’s advanced Memory Management settings to clear all recent pages(see “Customizing your web browser settings” on page 85).• Third-party applications: You can delete infrequently used applications or movethem to an expansion card (see “Copying applications to an expansion card orsmartphone” on page 130).Also, remember that your smartphone includes an expansion card slot, and that youcan store applications and information on expansion cards. However, you still needfree memory on the smartphone itself to run applications from an expansion card.OutkastUG.book Page 185 Wednesday, March 2, 2005 1:25 PM
