If your computer is enabled with Bluetooth wireless technology, you cansynchronize wirelessly, and even use your phone as a wireless modem for yourcomputer.Once you set up a connection with a device with Bluetooth wireless technology, youcan communicate with that device whenever it is within range. Bluetooth range is upto 30 feet dependent upon environmental conditions; including obstacles, radiointerference from nearby electronic equipment, and other factors.Connecting to a headset with Bluetooth wireless technology1. Go to Applications and select Bluetooth .2. Select On.3. Enter a device name for your phone. This is the name other devices with Bluetoothwireless technology see when they connect to your phone.4. Select the Discoverable pick list and select one of the following:• Yes: Nearby devices with Bluetooth wireless technology can find your phoneand request a connection. You can accept or refuse the connection request.• No: Only devices with which you’ve already formed a trusted pair can findyour phone. New devices cannot request a connection.Go to www.palmOne.com/us/support/bluetooth/treo650_bluetooth_compatibility.html for a listof compatible devices.If you’re using a hands-freedevice with Bluetoothwireless technology and itis within range (up to 30feet), your smartphoneautomatically routes allcalls to the hands-freedevice instead of to thehandset. When a callcomes in, your smartphonerings and the headsetbeeps.
